The best time to visit Comoros is during the dry season, which runs from May through October. During these months you'll enjoy lower humidity, cooler temperatures averaging 24–28°C, and calm seas that make boat travel between islands comfortable and snorkelling conditions superb. June to September is especially rewarding for whale watching, as humpback whales pass through the Mohéli Marine Park on their southern migration.

The wet season lasts from November through April, bringing heavy rainfall and the risk of tropical cyclones, particularly between January and March. Temperatures climb above 30°C and humidity becomes oppressive. That said, November and April are transitional months with manageable rain and lush green landscapes if you prefer fewer visitors and lower prices. Ramadan, whose timing shifts annually, significantly affects restaurant hours and the pace of daily life, so it's worth checking the Islamic calendar before you book.
