Weather in Lebanon

Lebanon's compact geography creates a remarkable range of climates across a short distance. The coastal areas enjoy a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild, occasionally wet winters. The best times to visit for general travel are spring (April–June) and autumn (September–November), when temperatures along the coast are pleasantly warm (20–28°C), mountain roads are clear, and the landscape is at its most vibrant. Spring wildflowers blanket the mountain slopes in a particularly spectacular display from March through May.

Summer (July–August) is Lebanon's peak domestic tourist season, particularly popular with Lebanese diaspora returning home, and the coastal resorts and mountain resort towns like Bcharre and the Chouf region are lively and crowded. The mountains see snow from December through March, and while resort infrastructure was developing prior to recent disruptions, ski areas like Mzaar Kfardebian and The Cedars have historically been popular winter destinations. Year-round, Beirut maintains an active cultural calendar, and the city's restaurant and arts scene operates throughout all seasons.
