Weather in Palestine

The best time to visit Palestine is during spring, particularly from March through May, when the hillsides bloom with wildflowers, temperatures are mild and pleasant, and the olive trees are in fresh leaf. Bethlehem and Jerusalem feel especially alive during Easter and Orthodox Easter celebrations in April, drawing pilgrims and travelers from across the globe in a moving convergence of faith and culture. The air is clear, hiking conditions are ideal, and the light that falls over ancient stone buildings is nothing short of extraordinary.

Autumn, from October through November, offers another excellent window for travel. Olive harvest season begins in October, and you can participate in the picking alongside local families in villages around Ramallah and Nablus — an unforgettable hands-on cultural experience. Temperatures cool pleasantly after the dry summer heat, and Christmas season in December transforms Bethlehem's Manger Square into a festive gathering place with lights, music, and special events. Summer months of July and August can be intensely hot, particularly in Jericho and the Jordan Valley, so plan outdoor activities for early mornings if you visit then.
