Weather in Saint Barthélemy

The high season in St. Barths runs from mid-December through April, when the Caribbean climate delivers near-perfect conditions: temperatures around 27°C, low humidity, and almost no rainfall. The Christmas and New Year period is the island's most glamorous — and most expensive — with accommodation often booked a year in advance and prices reaching extraordinary peaks. January through April offers the same excellent weather with slightly more accommodation availability and marginally lower rates.

The summer months from June through October constitute the low season. Temperatures rise slightly and brief afternoon showers become common, though the island remains beautiful and far less crowded. Many high-end restaurants and shops close for August or September, but resorts remain open with significant rate reductions. The hurricane season technically runs from June through November, with September being the statistical peak; monitoring weather forecasts is advisable during these months. May is an excellent shoulder-season choice: the weather is still excellent, prices have dropped from peak levels, and the full complement of restaurants and services is typically operational.
