Weather in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

The dry season, running from January through May, is widely considered the best time to visit Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. During these months, rainfall is minimal, temperatures hover pleasantly between 24°C and 29°C (75°F–84°F), and the trade winds keep the humidity comfortable. The sea is typically calm and visibility for snorkeling and diving is at its peak, often exceeding 30 meters. February and March offer ideal sailing conditions, making this the prime window for chartering a yacht through the Grenadines.

The wet season stretches from June through November, coinciding with the Atlantic hurricane season. While St. Vincent sits on the southern edge of the hurricane belt and direct hits are relatively rare, heavy downpours and occasional tropical storms can disrupt travel plans during these months. That said, the wet season brings lush green landscapes, quieter beaches, lower accommodation rates, and the excitement of Vincy Mas carnival in late June. If you visit during this period, early July through August offers a reasonable window of manageable rainfall before the peak storm months of September and October.
