Best Time to Visit Serbia
Summer (July and August) can be hot in the Pannonian Plain and Belgrade, with temperatures regularly reaching 35°C (95°F). The city empties somewhat as residents flee to mountain resorts and the Adriatic coast, though the splavovi nightlife scene peaks in summer heat. Winter, from November through March, brings cold temperatures and occasional snow — Belgrade has a genuine winter atmosphere, the fortress is atmospheric in frost, and indoor culture (museums, theatres, kafane taverns) comes into its own. Kopaonik mountain in south-central Serbia operates as a competent ski resort from December through March, making winter a legitimate option for mountain sports enthusiasts.
