Weather in Seychelles

The Seychelles enjoys a tropical climate year-round, but the best time to visit depends on your preferred activities. The dry season from May to September brings calmer seas, lower humidity, and excellent visibility for snorkelling and diving. The southeast trade winds cool things down pleasantly during this period, making it ideal for outdoor exploration. June through August is particularly popular for sailing and for visiting the southern outer islands.

The northwest monsoon season, from November to March, brings warmer waters and occasional heavy showers, though storms rarely last long. This wet season is actually the best time for diving around the northern islands, as the calmer northwest waters offer superb visibility. April and October are shoulder months with lighter crowds and pleasant conditions on most of the archipelago. The Seychelles is essentially a year-round destination, so any time you can visit is a good time.
