Scattered showers will continue to produce brief strong wind gusts of 40 to just above 50 mph through 4 am as they move east across central Indiana. An isolated higher gust in excess of 55 mph is possible. These wind gusts may knock down tree limbs and power lines.

Scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm are expected tonight. Though much of the shower activity will be light, conditions favor strong wind gusts associated with any shower or storm. Observations upstream across Illinois have shown wind gusts between 40 to 50 mph as of 10pm. Similar wind gusts are possible across central Indiana through tonight.

Moderately strong winds out of the south to southwest will continue late this evening into the overnight hours. Expect a few sporadic gusts of 40 to 50 mph with more frequent gusts of 25 to 40 mph. These winds can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
