Weather in Tippecanoe

Scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm are expected tonight. Though much of the shower activity will be light, conditions favor strong wind gusts associated with any shower or storm. Observations upstream across Illinois have shown wind gusts between 40 to 50 mph as of 10pm. Similar wind gusts are possible across central Indiana through tonight.

Scattered showers will continue to produce brief strong wind gusts of 40 to just above 50 mph through 4 am as they move east across central Indiana. An isolated higher gust in excess of 55 mph is possible. These wind gusts may knock down tree limbs and power lines.

Gusty south winds could briefly gust as high as 50 mph for a short time during the early morning hours through around 3 AM EDT. A band of showers moving across northwest Indiana and southwest Lower Michigan will likely aid in producing some stronger wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph. If travelling, be prepared for brief periods of these stronger wind gusts, particularly for high profile vehicles.
