Weather in Aruba

One of Aruba's greatest gifts to travellers is that it is essentially a year-round destination — the island receives only about 17 inches of rain annually and sits outside the Atlantic hurricane belt. Trade winds blow consistently from the northeast, keeping temperatures comfortable and rarely allowing the island's typical warmth (averaging 28°C/82°F) to become oppressive. In short, there is no truly "bad" time to visit Aruba.

That said, the peak season from December through April brings the largest crowds and highest prices, coinciding with winter escapes from North America and Europe. If you prefer to avoid the busiest periods while still enjoying excellent weather, the months of May, June, and November offer nearly identical conditions at noticeably lower prices. July and August see increased arrivals from Latin American visitors during their summer holidays. The only months with a marginally elevated chance of rain and occasional stormy weather are October and November, though this rarely disrupts extended beach days. Carnival in January and February adds tremendous festive energy to the island.
