Weather in Bermuda

Bermuda is a year-round destination, but the peak season runs from May through September when warm temperatures, long days, and calm Atlantic waters make swimming, snorkeling, and sailing irresistible. Water temperatures reach their highest — around 28°C — in August and September. June, July, and August are the busiest months, with hotel rates at their highest and the island buzzing with energy, especially around Cup Match in late July. If you want warm weather with slightly smaller crowds, May and early June offer excellent conditions before the summer rush.

October through April is the shoulder and off-season, when temperatures cool to a still-pleasant 15°C to 20°C range, crowds thin considerably, and accommodation prices drop significantly. This is a wonderful time to explore the island's history and culture, hike the Railway Trail, and enjoy the quieter side of Bermuda. Note that some beach bars and water sports operators scale back operations in winter. Hurricane season runs from June through November, though Bermuda is far enough north that direct hits are rare; nevertheless, tropical storms can cause disruption between August and October.
