Weather in Tuvalu

Tuvalu has a tropical climate that is warm year-round, with temperatures consistently between 28–32°C. The driest and most pleasant period for visiting is between April and October, when trade winds provide cooling relief and rainfall is lower. This is the ideal window for beach activities, snorkeling, and exploring the outer islands. May and June are particularly agreeable months with lower humidity and reliable sunshine.

The wet season from November through March brings heavier rainfall, occasional tropical storms, and higher humidity, though even during this period long sunny spells are common. Cyclone risk exists between November and April, and travelers should monitor forecasts and consider travel insurance. Funafuti's single airport receives flights only two to three times per week from Fiji regardless of season, so align your travel plans with airline schedules well in advance. There are no high and low tourist seasons in the conventional sense — Tuvalu receives very few tourists throughout the year.
